exit planning

Technology Venture Partners was founded in 1997 on the belief that development of an effective exit strategy early-on is a critical component to maximize return on investment for entrepreneurs and investors alike. During an initial short term consulting engagement organized in a series of screening sessions with management, board and other stakeholders we focus on the development of the operational recommendations that emerge as key components to a successful exit strategy.

strategy
The development and execution of such a strategy is not an insignificant challenge. It may include identification of potential acquirers early-on and the development of a gap analysis based on those findings. It may require the articulation of a new product strategy, or the definition of a new geographical or vertical sales and marketing focus. It may involve optimization of revenue and earnings depending on the assessment of the identified acquirer and the anticipated need for the transaction to be accretive. Besides our deal experience, our partners have all gone through these processes more than once and have learned from their mistakes. It is those lessons that are invaluable to our clients.

Typically Technology Venture Partners’ consulting engagements span no more than between three and twelve months as a pre-cursor to the next step during which we focus on providing our clients with guidance on mergers and acquisitions, financial restructuring, equity capital raising, as well as a range of other advisory services.
